Bryce Brothers was a glass manufacturing company in Pennsylvania from 1850-1965. Their uniquely styled glassware was used in many restaurants and hotels as well as at the White House, United Nations, and U.S. embassies worldwide.
The distinct pattern on this set of four water glasses is known as ‘Block Optic’ and the style of the stem is #350. The cobalt coloring of the stem and base is very vivid and a favorite among collectors. Each glass measures 6 3/8 inches tall by 3 1/8 inches wide at the rim. All of the antique glasses have minor scratching here and there (see photos) and one has a large chip on the rim (see photo). I usually throw away glasses with rim chips, but these are so rare, I thought someone might like to have the damaged one as well.
