This is a magnificent late Qing Dynasty tea set circa 1900. The beautifully-woven wicker basket is expertly fitted to hold the teapot and two cups and is lined with lovely floral silk. The hand-painted tea set features colorful scenes of flowers, birds, and people. The teapot, lid, and two cups are all marked ‘China’ within an oval which means this set was made for export circa 1900. The basket measures 9 inches wide by 6 inches tall. The teapot is 6 inches wide by 5 inches tall and the cups (one is slightly bigger than the other) are approximately 2.5 inches wide by 2 inches tall.
