ANTIQUE PRESSED GLASS BREAD PLATE-"EUREKA" c 1880

Antique clear glass bread plate with the word "EUREKA" in the center. Glows in black light!! This is an antique Early American pressed glass plate, likely made in the late 1800s, often associated with the California Gold Rush. It was manufactured by Ripley & Co. around 1880. The plate's design features a diagonal banner with the word "EUREKA" against a mottled background, surrounded by clear and hatched patterns around the rim It is oval and measures 11 1/2 x 9 in. Good condition with a small area of rough edge on rim. Possibly from manufacturing process. See pictures.
