ANTIQUE IKEBANA JAPANESE CARVED & PAINTED WOODEN VASE WITH BIRD LEAF DECORATION

This listing is for an Antique Japanese Wood Ikebana "Maki-e" flower vase. Maki-e is a layered lacquer technique. The hand hewn kiri wood has aged into a warm deep brown and features gold and red makie of bird and vines. From Kanazawa. The vase is 12" tall and 4.5" wide. The condition is nice with some nicks and small marks in the wood. Has original copper inserts. Sold as a pair
