ANTIQUE GLASS INKWELL URANIUM GLOWY WITH BAKELITE INSERT

This fabulous antique inkwell is an amazing piece to use in your industrial, art deco decor! It’s a chunky, very stable well of clear glass with rounded beveled edges & a brown ring insert, which through research, has been described as Bakelite. Measuring 3-1/2” square x2-1/4” H, the glass is pristine. The inkwell insert does have some chipping on the underside, & is stained from ink, consistent with age & use, please view pics. Now for the fun part - uranium was used in the molten mix so it glows neon green under UV exposure! Use on a desk as a pen holder, as an accent on your shelves, or on a book stack on the coffee table for more traditional decor, or use as a bud vase, for plant propagation, or for holding q-tips or makeup applicators at the vanity too!
