ANTIGONA PARIS Rare Vintage Gold Knot Twist Brooch designer 80s brutalist Add a chain to make it a necklace! Wonderful vintage condition - there is a chip at end of the “string” on left and right side. Due to the shine and all over texture, I personally don’t think the chips are glaring or detract from the wearing or enjoyment of this stunning statement piece. Weighs 2oz or 56gms Incorporated in 1978, French jewelry brand Antigona Paris produced stylish statement jewelry for about two decades, till 1990s. Their runway couture pieces were highly popular in the 1980-90s. Prestigious department stores and boutiques in France and Europe sold AP jewelry. Traditionally, the designers created abstract or modernist design jewelry. They used textured matte gold or silver tone metal, lucite and enamel. Noteworthy, each decoration has marking “Antigona Made in France”, or “Antigona Paris”.
