A true denim, not chambray but the weight of a pair of jeans. . Midi length skirt area is fairly full so very comfortable to wear, slightly pleated where it attaches to the white T-shirt part. The vest portion is attached only at the shoulders and then ties around the back. Shoulder pads are sewn on at the corners of the pad so you could easily cut them out if you did not want them. And look at that adorable shabby chic flower piece on the front! Approx measurements, 18” underarm to underarm, 18” across waist, 15” shoulder to waist seam, 33” waist seam to hem.
