Hook closure and an opening in the back. The silk feels really nice and substantial, not thin! Measurements (approximate, while laying flat): 18" underarm to underarm when laying flat, but because of the front pleat, can be up to 20" underarm to underarm 23" from middle of neck to bottom of hem, measured from back
