This is such an adorable ivory felt hat from the 1970s'. The one piece structure is rounded at the top, and tapers down to create such a stunning shape. At one side there is a large, white mesh bow secured by a felt "leaf" shape edged in sequins and beads. A large "feather"-like piece of mesh emerges. The "feather" is edged in pleated grosgrain, and features a sprinkling of sequins. There is a similar mesh, pleated grosgrain & sequin band all around the middle of the hat. This is a splendid look!
Women's hats in the 1970s were notable for their variety and extravagance. Styles included Church hats, floppy hats, cloche hats, and turbans.
