A Vintage Hand Painted Japanese Porcelain Ginger Jar I E & C Co Japan As-Is

This is a beautifully handpainted piece of Japanese Pottery. I believe the stamp on the bottom I E & C Co Japan refers to a British company that were importing Japanese items to be for sale in their country in the late 19th and early 20th century. This ginger star is a stunner with it's Japanese scenery highllighted with gold paint. Sadly this piece does have a chip in the base that is just under .5" wide and .25" tall. There is other wear around the base as well as at the top under where the lid sits. This is still a very pretty piece and would make a great display.
