Made in England. Cremona Park, Newcastle-on-Tyne. "Lady Hamilton as a Spinstress" by George Romney. In the Iveagh Bequest Collection, Kenwood. No. 13964 Has hinged lid. Hinge is in good condition and works perfectly. The lid lines up and seals up tight when closed. Tin box measures: 8" long x 6" wide x 3.25" high. Item has heavy wear. Due to it's age there are numerous dings in the tin and scratches on the tin box. We missed it multiple times, so it is VERY HARD to notice, but we believe there was a leather snap piece attached to the lid that would snap to the middle of the tin on the front. The leather piece is missing. Again, it is very hard to tell something was supposed to be there unless brought to your attention. See pics for heavy wear. Priced accordingly, and we wish we sourced this item in better condition, but it is a beautiful survivor in its own right.
