_ 90s Vintage Max Studio embroidered indigo blue linen sundress

This stunning dress is a rich indigo denim blue in soft linen, embellished with gorgeous, delicately embroidered irises. It's so versatile that you’ll stand out whether you're having lunch at the plaza or drinks at the sky bar in Hollywood or at a backyard barbecue. Perfect for work or lunch or brunch with your girlfriends or just out for shopping or to have friends over for dinner. This dress is from the real Leon Max Collection, which Max Studio founder, Leon Max launched in 1987, the year he won the California Designer Award. I bought this wonderful embroidered 100% linen dress in a Max Studio store in the early 90s from the original luxury brand at its peak before Leon Max left. Classic, minimalist with beautiful tone on tone embellishment of delicate embroidery. I wore it once or twice, hand washed it and it still looks new. Looks a little wide on my mannequin because she is skinnier than the dress and it hangs loose on her but it's a wonderfully tailored classic sheath dress, meant to fit and follow and highlight your curves. NOTE: in some light the satiny band at the bottom looks kind of lavender but it actually matches the rest of the dress. Embroidered, indigo, sheath, sleeveless, midi, cornflower, indigo Fully lined.
