Bought these back in grad school in the early aughts for conferences, awards, presentations, etc. plus hitting the bar or dinner with everyone afterward. These are absolutely perfect for a conservative-yet-hot academic style, which is honestly impossible to shop. Brouging pairs wonderfully with plaid skirts. My only complaint is that the soles are synthetic, which meant they were great for standing around ballrooms and terrible for walking half the length of Dublin in the rain. (Pubs were so worth, tho.)
