This exquisite 10k Gold Locket is from the late Victorian era (circa 1890-1900) based upon the cut of the 7 diamonds set in hand etched stars. The center diamond is the largest and I've heard the term "rose cut" for the diamonds though I do not have certification. This piece belonged to my Grandmother who emigrated to the US from Russia so it is possibly crafted in Latvia. It carried my Grandfather's picture inside until I took these photos 2 days ago. The piece weighs 9.72g and has been recently checked for stability of the stones. Additional photos available upon request and I encourage you to use our photos as part of the listing. These are the actual item up for sale. No Smoking home. FAST SHIPPING!

Hi is this marked anywhere? How do you know the purity?

@sweetchow it is not marked but I have had it tested. I believe it is handmade in Europe and I’m not sure they stamped jewelry back then.

Why is it black inside?

@luxythreads It’s just old & I didn’t want to use a harsh cleaner. I’m going to take it to a jeweler this week to have it professionally cleaned.

It’s beautiful. What a lovely locket. Since it’s not marked, I don’t believe it’s gold. And the black spots, at least from the photos looks a little like corrosion, which makes me uneasy… I’m willing to make an offer, but I’d be pretty far off from your list price. Let me know if you’re able to get it cleaned or tested!

@luxythreads It is 10k gold, I have had it tested. You know over $499, Poshmark guarantees the authenticity as it goes to the GIA before you. The diamonds are very rare because of the age & cut. I’ll let you know how thing go. Thanks for shopping with us.

@penguinia154 Oh I’m sorry, I misread your comment! Whoops. I thought you said you had not had it tested!

@luxythreads I won’t take less than $650 because of commissions.
