Divided back printed postcard of Calvary Baptist Church, 9th and Harrison Streets, Kansas City, Mo., published exclusively for S. H. Knox & Co. Front shows the large stone church with its corner tower and spire, arched windows, and neighboring houses along the street. Standard 3.5 x 5.5 in, posted 1911. Fair to good vintage condition with corner and edge wear, light creasing, toning, and machine cancel lines across the sky on the front. Back is postmarked Kansas City, Mo., Aug 1911, with a green one-cent Franklin stamp and wavy machine cancel. Printed "Published exclusively for S. H. Knox & Co., Made in U.S.A." and a stock number partly obscured by the writing (appears to be 13756). Message dated "K.C. 8-7-11": "Dear Mother, Are having a good time. All well. Will be in St. Louis in a day or two." signed Ben, addressed to Mrs. H. G. Smith, Tolono, Ill. A nice early Kansas City church card with a dated traveler's message, of interest to Missouri, Baptist church, and Tolono, Illinois family-history collectors.
