Beautiful vintage Limoges Castel porcelain handled basket, made and decorated in Limoges, France. This elegant little piece has an unusual sculptural basket form with sweeping curved sides and a tall integrated handle, all richly accented in gold. The interior features a colorful bird surrounded by delicate blue flowers, green foliage and graceful gold scrollwork. Additional pink and yellow floral motifs decorate the exterior sides. The combination of the creamy white porcelain, colorful bird and floral decoration, and generous gold detailing gives it a wonderfully ornate French look.
