Susan Bristol Zoo Animal, Black & Multi-color Cardigan, 2002 Vintage Zip Sweater

Gorgeous animal themed grandma zip cardigan, the Susan Bristol "zoo" sweater from 2002. It's covered in hand-embroidered 3D crochet animals: fluffy sheep, puppies, fuzzy yellow chicks, ladybugs, a lion, a snail, a mouse, a pig and orange kitties, all mixed in with bright pink, blue, green and gray crochet circles. The animals continue around the scalloped hem in back, with one more little sheep between the shoulders. Black knit body and sleeves, full front zip with crochet ball pulls, and a scalloped crochet trim at the neck and cuffs. Heavy, textured and very much a conversation piece.
