Provenance: From the private collection/estate of Jim Olson, former anthropology collections manager and curator at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
This authentic, vintage Mexican folk art festival dance mask is hand-carved from wood with a glossy polychrome finish. Features stylized features, expressive blue eyes, and puckered lips—classic to regional festival dances (such as Guerrero/Michoacán dramas). Displays excellent craftsmanship and preservation. Excellent piece for serious ethnographic art collectors.
