Crucially, the original artist biography and chronology sheet remains intact and attached to the back of the frame, providing excellent provenance and historical context for the collector. • Total Frame Size: 14" x 13" • Medium: Oil or Acrylic on Board/Canvas Panel • Framing: Housed in its gorgeous vintage gold-gilded wood frame with a clean white fabric liner. About the Artist: Lodewijk "Lo" Jacob Andriese (1937–2022) was a highly creative and accomplished Dutch-American artist. Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, he survived the WWII occupation before immigrating to the United States in 1952. Settling in Salt Lake City, Utah, Andriese became a fixture of the mid-century regional art scene. He studied under influential artists like George Fox, Don Doxey, and Evan Jensen, and regularly exhibited alongside Utah legends like Lee Deffebach, Dennis Phillips, and LeConte Stewart. Known for his versatility, he also worked extensively in commercial art, notably designing the original Associated Food Stores logo in his twenties.
