Vintage Master Fishing Tackle Corporation Mark Series 9’ Fly Fishing Rod

Well Loved vintage condition.Master Fishing Tackle Corporation Mark Series Fly Fishing Rod. Model 801. 1960's-70s. Made in the USA. Custom color blue and durable fiberglass tubular construction. 9 foot length assembled. 2 piece rod. Cork handle. Entry to mid range level. Most 8.5' to 9' fiberglass fly rods from this era were designed for heavier lines to handle larger flies and fight stronger fish. This rod would be best for bass bugging or trout fishing. 7 or 8 weight line is generally ideal for this size pole. Since vintage rods often lack modern line weight markings, you should test different lines to find the best fit. Best suggestion I found is to start with a Double Taper (DT) 7wt line. All original, intact and repair free.(to the best of my knowledge)Moderate signs of wear/use and age related wear.(Scuffs, scratches, label, paint and handle wear, dust, etc) Owned, used and cared for by my Dad.
