ID: Original official souvenir programme for the London Victory Celebrations, held 8th June 1946 to mark the end of World War II. Front cover bears the Royal Coat of Arms (lion and unicorn supporters, crown, shield with royal arms) and the motto "Dieu Et Mon Droit," beneath which is printed "Official Programme of the Victory Celebrations, 8th June 1946." Original cover price "Twopence" is printed at the base.
Publisher: His Majesty's Stationery Office.
Size: Approx. 5.6 x 8.6 inches, saddle-stitched booklet with two staples along the spine.
Dating evidence: Date is printed directly on the front cover ("8th June 1946"), placing it firmly in the immediate postwar/V-Day commemorative period.
Condition: As-found, disclosed honestly. Cover shows overall toning and browning consistent with age, a small area of paper loss/tear at the top edge, a crease at the lower left corner, and a light stain toward the bottom of the front cover. Staple-bound spine intact. Please review photos closely as they form part of the description.
A scarce piece of British WWII/V-Day ephemera — royal procession and Victory Celebrations program booklet, suitable for collectors of WWII history, royal memorabilia, and post-war Britain.
