That is topped with another domed sheet of sterling, the decorative outer frame to create depth you can actually see. More silver, and a heck of a lot more labor. It's not just a bezel. It's architecture...difficult craftmanship in 3-d. Navajo artist Shirley Skeets, made this piece, and the hand stamping is heavy and nice, niece. Totally handmade of sterling silver and natural turquoise. Cord measures 22" long when folded in half from back of neck to bottom of tips.
