This is a Mated Pair (1 Drake and 1 Hen) of Vintage Victor "Veri-Lite" Mallard Duck Decoys. Manufactured by the famous Animal Trap Company of America in Lititz, Pennsylvania, these pressed-fiber pulp decoys date back to the mid-20th century (circa 1940s–1950s) and represent a classic piece of American waterfowling history. Both decoys feature the highly sought-after, original amber glass eyes intact. The factory-imprinted "Animal Trap Co. / Victor Veri-Lite / Lititz, PA USA" stamps are present on the bottoms of the bodies. Condition Details (Please Read & View All Photos) These are true, authentic, field-used decoys and show a wonderful, heavily distressed vintage patina. Beaks/Bills: Both the drake and the hen show notable wear, chipping, and flattening to the tips of their molded pulp bills (a very common occurrence with fragile fiber decoys of this era). Bodies & Seams: The pressed-pulp bodies are structurally sound and retain their classic molded feather textures. There is minor chipping, separation, and rubbing along some of the factory mold seams and tails from years of storage and field use. Paint: The paint is entirely original with zero modern touch-ups. It shows significant fading, weathering, and paint-flaking throughout, giving it that rugged, authentic folk-art look desired by country decor enthusiasts. Hardware: The original tie-down loops/strings are present on the front keel areas. Please review all close-up photos carefully.
