A gorgeous early vintage Coach shoulder/crossbody bag crafted from thick, full-grain glove-tanned cowhide in an unusual putty olive-gray color. Depending on the lighting, the leather shifts between olive green, taupe and gray. Believed to date from the late 1970s to early 1980s. The pre-1994 creed number, No. 137-2118, is an individual registration number rather than a style number. Made in the United States. Features: • Curved flap with leather tab and magnetic snap closure • Adjustable leather crossbody strap • Exterior back slip pocket • Front slip pocket beneath the flap • Interior brass-zippered pocket • Unlined natural suede interior • Original embossed Coach leather hangtag and ball chain • Beautiful aged brass-tone hardware Approximate measurements: • 9.5” wide • 8” high • 3.5” deep • Adjustable strap drop up to 21” Very good vintage condition with a wonderful natural patina. The leather shows light surface scratches, creasing, tonal variation and minor darkening/wear along some edges and seams, all consistent with age and use. The bag retains a strong, structured shape, and the natural suede interior presents nicely. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description. A wonderful early Coach collector’s piece in a hard-to-find neutral olive shade.
