I don’t have a trusted leather cobbler near me or I would absolutely have the strap restored myself. Hoping she finds a new home with someone who has a great cobbler or enjoys restoring vintage designer pieces. 🤎 The GG canvas and overall body of the bag still present beautifully, especially considering its age. The primary issue is the shoulder strap, which has significant wear/deterioration at several stress points, including around the buckle attachment. There is cracking, peeling, exposed material and weakened leather, and the strap should be professionally repaired/reinforced before regular use. Additional vintage wear includes rubbing/color loss along the leather piping and bottom edges, surface scratches/scuffs and general age-related wear to the leather. Please zoom in on ALL photos — I intentionally photographed the problem areas closely so there are no surprises. This could be SUCH a good restoration project. The Jackie silhouette + chocolate GG canvas is so good right now, and with the strap professionally repaired she has tons of life left.
