Fabulous vintage hand-carved wooden statement necklace featuring a large dimensional purple flower framed by dramatic carved green leaves. The necklace is strung with rich purple disc beads accented by natural wood-tone beads, with small metallic spacers and a hook closure. The centerpiece is the star — a sculptural, hand-painted flower with individually shaped petals and oversized carved leaves with incised vein detailing. There are wonderful variations in the carving, paint and wood that give this piece its handmade character. Very 1980s/90s artisan, tropical resort and wearable folk-art in feel.
