Vintage Berkshire Pottery stoneware flower frog vase featuring a folk-art floral design in muted cobalt blue, pink, yellow and green against a warm tan glaze.
The domed top features a central opening surrounded by pierced teardrop-shaped openings that function as an integrated flower frog, allowing individual flower stems to be arranged and held in place. A wonderful piece for garden flowers, wildflowers or dried stems, and equally lovely displayed on its own.
Marked BERKSHIRE POTTERY with an impressed stamp on the underside.
Berkshire Pottery was founded in 1960 by Gertraud and Martin Stosiek near Hillsdale, New York. This piece appears consistent with the pottery's vintage floral stoneware, and I found another example specifically identified as a 1970s Berkshire Pottery flower frog vase.
Measurements: approximately 6.5" tall × 3.5" diameter
Weight: 14.8 oz
Material: Stoneware pottery
Maker: Berkshire Pottery
Origin: New York, USA
Era: Circa 1970s
Good vintage pre-owned condition with light wear and natural variations consistent with handmade studio pottery. No obvious chips or cracks visible in the photos. Please review all photos closely for complete condition and measurements.
