Rare WW2 1944 Soldier & Sweetheart .800 Sterling Silver Pair Military History

This beautiful pair of 0.800 fine silver bracelets were commissioned to be made in 1944 by an American soldier with the last name Zimmerman. He was at some time in Iran waiting to go to the field and wanted to send home a sweetheart gift which was a common practice during the time. He commissioned both of these pieces to be made one for him to keep with himself and the other to be sent home to his wife M. Zimmerman. A year or so later the pieces were reunited and so were the husband and wife. They spent nearly 80 years together being passed down through the Zimmerman family where I purchased them from the daughter of the original couple who has gotten elderly herself and decided to part with some of her heirlooms that she was unable to pass down for whatever personal reasons and decided to offer them to me.
