Original 2002 landscape painting by Canadian artist Jean Thompson, a Maritimer who lived in New Brunswick before later relocating to Ottawa. This charming small-format work depicts a peaceful country lane bordered by a stone wall and flowering lupins, with a solitary figure and little dog walking beneath mature trees and a cottage in the distance. Soft blues, fresh greens and touches of pink, white and yellow give the scene a wonderfully nostalgic Maritime-country feeling.
