Vintage 1987 Kentucky Derby 113 snapback hat by The Louisville Line features a white crown with rope detail. The front showcases embroidery for the 113th Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs, dated May 2, 1987. A green under brim and adjustable snap closure complete this officially licensed equestrian piece. The race was won by Alysheba, ridden by Chris McCarron and trained by Jack Van Berg. Alysheba famously clipped heels with Bet Twice in the stretch, nearly went down, recovered and still won the Derby. Churchill Downs itself identifies Alysheba as the 1987 Derby winner.
