Handmade Sorrento marquetry Lazy Susan by Giuseppe Mastellone of Sorrento, Italy. Grape vine wreath inlaid on a golden bird’s-eye maple burl background with a glossy finish and black rim. Signed on the front: Mastellone Giuseppe. Handmade in Sorrento using traditional inlaid wood technique. Circa 1990s–2010s (most likely 2000s). Signed original artisan work — not antique. Size About 20” across the top, approximately 20.5” including the slightly flared rim. Rotates. Felt-backed base. Condition Good used condition. The inlay is intact and the design still looks rich and detailed. The high-gloss finish has scattered light to moderate surface scratches throughout — most are fine hairlines that show in certain light, with a few more visible marks. Black rim has only minor wear. No chips, cracks, or lifting veneer that I can see. Still a beautiful display/serving piece. Great as a dining table centerpiece or serving tray.
