Antique 1920s Whiting & Davis Art Deco Enameled Mesh Flapper Evening Bag Purse Geometric Fringe Signed An absolutely exceptional antique Whiting & Davis mesh evening bag dating to the 1920s Art Deco era. This gorgeous Jazz Age purse features an intricate enameled mesh design rendered in dramatic black, ivory, orange, and green. The bold geometric pattern, enameled silver-tone frame, delicate chain handle, kiss-lock closure, and pointed mesh fringe create an unmistakable flapper-era statement piece. The interior of the frame is signed WHITING & DAVIS, confirming the celebrated American maker renowned for producing some of the finest metal mesh handbags of the early 20th century. Most remarkable is the condition, this approximately 100-year-old purse is FLAWLESS.
