Vintage Céramique de Beauce “Ptarmigan / Perdrix des neiges” 3-piece tea service, an exceptional example of Canadian modernist ceramic design from Quebec. Dating to the 1970s, the Ptarmigan line is associated with designer Doug Funk and features wonderfully sculptural bird-inspired forms in soft white ceramic with bold minimalist black decoration. Set includes: • Lidded teapot – approx. 14 cm H x 29 cm W x 10 cm D • Creamer – approx. 8 cm H x 6 cm W x 12 cm D • Sugar bowl – approx. 11 cm H x 6 cm W x 9 cm D Authentic impressed Céramique de Beauce / CB mark to base. CONDITION: Vintage condition with one chip near the top of the teapot, largely concealed when the lid is fitted; tiny chip at spout; minor black decoration loss; light crazing visible when wet; and normal age-related wear.
