Sheep Camp Wool Mill Burgundy 100% Bluefaced Leicester Yarn 2 Ply 175 Yds Skein

This is a skein of hand-dyed, small-batch yarn from Sheep Camp Wool Mill, a family-run fiber operation based in Molina, Colorado. The yarn is 100% Bluefaced Leicester wool in a deep burgundy/wine colorway, spun as a 2-ply with 175 yards per skein. The mill's original label is still attached, hand-stamped with the mill's contact information and a hand-lettered wagon illustration, with the ply and yardage filled in by hand. Bluefaced Leicester is prized among hand knitters and crocheters for its softness, subtle luster, and excellent stitch definition, making it well suited for shawls, scarves, hats, and other next-to-skin projects. This is a single skein from a small mill run; colorway and dye lot may vary slightly from other skeins. Because the color is hard to capture exactly I will take a few photos in different lights. The color is closest to what I would call a wine Burgundy.
