Authentic antique Richard Hudnut “Deauville” double makeup compact dating to the 1920s. This early version is marked “PAT’S PEND,” along with “DEAUVILLE” and “RICHARD HUDNUT.” Beautiful silver-tone round case featuring an engraved geometric design, decorative border, and stylized center emblem. The tri-fold interior includes a mirror and separate compartments originally intended for face powder and rouge. This is an unrestored collectible in heavily used antique condition. It has tarnishing, discoloration, scratches, surface wear, cosmetic residue, worn interior pads, and age-related deterioration. The mirror shows spotting/cloudiness.
