Antique stoneware canning or preserve jar dating to approximately the late 1800s to early 1900s. This wonderful old jar has a heavy cream stoneware body, black glazed lid, and original style wire bail closure. The underside of the lid appears to be marked “PAT APLD FOR,” adding to its early utilitarian character. The stoneware shows wonderful age throughout with crazing, discoloration, surface wear, and patina consistent with an antique piece. The metal bail has visible oxidation and rust from age. The unglazed base also shows expected wear. Measures approximately 8 inches tall including the lid. A great primitive farmhouse piece for display, antique kitchen decor, crock collections, pantry styling, or early American inspired decor. Please review all photos closely for exact condition and details. #AntiqueStoneware #CanningJar #PrimitiveDecor #StonewareCrock #FarmhouseAntique
