This is a vintage 1978 R. Dakin & Co. Benji plush dog, modeled after the famous movie character created by Joe Camp.
It features shaggy golden-tan faux fur, darker brown ears, a white muzzle, and its signature brass-tone metal collar tag stamped with BENJI.
These classic stuffed animals were produced in various sizes (commonly 8.5 to 14 inches) during the late 1970s and 1980s.
Very good preloved condition with normal signs of wear for age.
