Questions? Leave a comment below! Bought in Zimbabwe. Beautiful for a basket wall or a table. Handmade. 12” width 1.5” height ZB123 African Basket - Tonga - Zimbabwe Binga Basket Traditionally, the baskets were (and still are) used for carrying maize or sorghum from the fields and then winnowing the grain. A traditional design includes striped a spider web type pattern, and a lightning pattern with a distinctive square bottom design to form the foundation of the basket. Binga baskets are light, and popular to hang as a wall decor. The colors are neutral with beautiful geometric designs. They are created from naturally dyed palm leaves. • Made of Ilala palm, palm leaves, dyed with bark and roots to make up the designs • Hang this functional art on a wall in singles or multiples for a pop of textural pattern If you would like to bundle for a basket wall, bundle and then offer. I recommend 6-9 baskets for a basket wall. If you bundle, I can lay them out in a recommended design!
