This vintage Hofbrauhaus Munchen push-down spinning ashtray combines porcelain and metal components. It operates via a push-down knob on the top: when pressed, the internal spinning tray rotates to empty cigarette or cigar ashes into the base, helping to contain mess and maintain cleanliness. This self-cleaning rotation mechanism was popular in mid-20th century novelty ashtrays, especially for souvenir or advertising purposes. It is adorned with scenes from Germany, including notable Munich landmarks. There is a "faded blue" stamp inside the bowl and the underside is marked with the authentic Gerz logo and "W. Germany.". There is a chip on the bottom lip (see picture); the metal spinning top does have "Pitting" from use (see picture) otherwise a fun collectable. Measures: 5" L x 6" H x Base 3" D PLEASE CHECK OUT THE PHOTO'S FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION OF CONDITION, AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK BEFORE BUYING. CONDITION IS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES.
