1950’s Handmade in Hong Kong Black Beaded Kiss-Lock Clutch Purse

Vintage mid-century black plastic-beaded evening bag with a gold-tone frame, kiss-lock closure, and chain strap, hand-made in Hong Kong during the 1950’s. Features an intricate, raised geometric trellis pattern composed of large, multifaceted plastic/lucite flower or rosette centerpiece beads. The background grid is tightly packed with smaller, round seed beads. Mounted on a rectangular, textured gold-tone metal frame with a distinctive kiss-lock clasp and equipped with a classic gold-toned metal link chain that can be tucked inside to convert the purse into a clutch. Measurements: 7.5” across and 5” high. Chain is 12”. Excellent vintage condition, small area of fraying inside near the frame hinge but does not impact use.
