*RARE* Vintage Marc Levine Hand-Sculpted Pop-Art Lacquer Purse

This amazing wearable piece of art is an original lacquer shoulder bag by studio artist and designer Marc Levine. Known for creating futuristic and witty "soft-sculptures" and hard-shell wearable art pieces, Levine meticulously crafted these eye-catching geometric items in his studio. His rare collections from the 1980’s are highly sought after by bag collectors and art enthusiasts. Design highlights include a distinct, hard-shell body balancing an asymmetric, dynamic silhouette accompanied by a striking combination of vibrant yellow, a shimmery iridescent purple top, and deep charcoal gray accent stripes. A textured red faux-snake skin strap accent splits the top flap, adding a bold layer of organic texture against the sleek lacquered surface. Suspended by a minimal, thin black cord strap to keep visual focus entirely on the architectural body. Every original piece is hand-signed by the artist directly on the bottom shell. Measurements: 10” across, 3”-4” tall (due to asymmetrical shape) and 2.5” wide on the bottom. Strap measures 50” in overall length but can be tied to adjust to personal preference.
