A beautiful pair of Bottega Veneta Padded Bloc pumps from Daniel Lee’s defining era at the house—the period that introduced the fashion world to what became known as “New Bottega.”
Part of the Fall/Winter 2019 collection, these pumps take the classic black heel and give it that unmistakable Bottega twist. Crafted in soft black Nappa leather, they feature the collection’s distinctive hand-stitched matelassé quilting, a softly padded square toe and sculptural 3.5" heel.
What I especially love about this pair is that they’re interesting without being difficult to wear. From a distance, they work like a great black pump; up close, the padded leather, quilting and unexpected proportions make them something completely different.
Even better, this pair comes as a beautifully complete set with the original Bottega Veneta box, branded dust bag, booklet/cards and accompanying accessories shown in the photos. The original box label also matches the style, color and size and retains the original $970 retail sticker.
A great opportunity to add a recognizable piece of Daniel Lee-era Bottega to your wardrobe—a design that feels special without being precious, and one meant to become part of your wardrobe rather than simply part of your collection.
