Vintage Basil Ede “The Pheasant” framed foil art featuring a beautifully detailed ring-necked pheasant surrounded by grasses. Basil Ede was a British wildlife and bird artist particularly known for his highly detailed ornithological artwork. This piece has a metallic foil surface that creates a subtle reflective sheen and enhances the rich coloring of the pheasant. Presented under glass with a burgundy/maroon mat and wood frame. Measures approximately 12.5” x 11” overall. Vintage pre-owned condition with some age-related wear to the frame and presentation as pictured. No hanging hardware is currently attached to the back. Beautiful vintage sporting and wildlife décor, especially suited to a traditional study, hunting lodge, cabin or bird collection.
