Charming vintage mid-century Japanese cast iron owl incense burner, circa 1960s. This wonderfully expressive owl features oversized circular eyes, a removable head and a hollow interior designed to hold incense. Smoke escapes through the open eyes, creating a beautifully atmospheric display. It may also be used as a decorative lantern or displayed purely as sculpture.
