Early 1850's 1/6 Plate Ambrotype Photograph of a Young Couple. Featuring a young man with a vest, tailcoat, and sideburns, and a woman with day dress with pagoda sleeves. This antique glass photograph also features hand-painted details such as rosy cheeks. It is protected behind glass and matted with an ornate brass preserver and held in a full leather and wood hinged case that appears to be intact. Good Antique Condition - Crackling to image is indicative of a need for the dark backing to be repainted. Case shows wear. Please see photos for more details.
