The cob-style coin is a reproduction and is stamped “COPY.” What makes this piece unusual is its documented silver provenance. The accompanying vintage paperwork states that the piece was handcrafted from one of the silver bars that went down on the Nuestra Señora de Atocha. Original Treasure Salvors documentation identifies the source silver as Silver Ingot/Bar No. 85A-S132, Manifest No. 360.
