Very Good Vintage Condition Comes with COA Date stamp: 8902 SL 8902 (Date): In the late 1980s, Louis Vuitton used a four-digit format where the first two numbers represent the year (1989) and the last two numbers represent the month (02 for February). SL (Location): This factory code represents one of Louis Vuitton's manufacturing workshops located in France. * Interior: The textured cross-grain leather lining is in immaculate, pristine condition. It is completely dry and smooth with absolutely none of the stickiness, peeling, or powdery residue common in Louis Vuitton bags from this era. * Canvas: The classic monogram coated canvas is vibrant and thick, with no cracking or fading along the body. There is some minor, expected vintage relaxing/mild warping to the canvas shape on the back slip pocket face, which does not affect usability. * Vachetta Leather & Straps: The adjustable shoulder strap and side leather tabs (chapes) are exceptionally strong, firm, and fully intact with neat stitching and no deep structural cracking. The leather trim has aged to a beautiful, uniform honey-golden patina. * Flaws to Note: As typical with authentic vintage pieces, there is surface rubbing and dryness along the perimeter leather piping. The lower edge on one side shows localized wear where the leather wrapping has worn through, slightly exposing the inner structural piping cord underneath. There are also minor scuffs on the bottom corners.
