A wonderfully sculptural vintage St. James metal box, made in Brazil and marked Model 11. Its unusual octagonal form, hinged lid, substantial construction, and beautifully aged surface give it the character of a collected object rather than a simple storage piece. The metal has developed layers of natural oxidation, darkened patina and tonal variation, including areas of green and coppery coloration that make each side visually distinctive. History & Craftsmanship This mid-20th-century decorative box has a heavy metal construction and simple geometric silhouette. Condition Good vintage condition with visible surface scratches, oxidation, discoloration and patina throughout, all consistent with age and use.
