RARE Wood & Sons Antique Flow Blue "Lakewood" Footed Covered Vegetable Dish 1891-1907 Two tiny flaws, not really noticeable, one on top of handle (see photos) Other is on inside rim of bowl ( see photo) not noticeable when lid is on. Otherwise great condition, blues & the gold transfer are vibrant. Beautiful example of the Flow Blue aesthetic. Measurements are approx. Length (handle to handle) 12" Center width (where lid narrows) 7.5" Bowl itself measures 10×6.5" Bowl Height 3" Some history.. This pattern, known for its rich blue hues and gold accents, was popular with the upper class. The Lakewood pattern was produced from 1891-1907. The dish is designed with a lid and handles, and the pattern features floral motifs and scrollwork. The "Lakewood" pattern is a flow blue design, which means the blue color has a soft, slightly blurred appearance due to the way the glaze was applied.
