jamiiez @maison_j_styles I had it turned on at some point, and I turned it off. It does not send out 10%offers, instead it will send out random offers up to the lowest you set it. Some shoppers are exploiding it, I noticed that too. they will relike the item every day and get a new lower offer til it wont send another offer. then they go with another account and do same. to me it was losing money, but it might work for others.

thecatwalk @maison_j_styles I do on some listings. Esp if sitting a while. It does get the occasional impulse shopper. I had not noticed anyone re- liking to get another offer. Ill have to pay more attention

jadet4 @maison_j_styles 😊 I use it on some of my listings & I’ve had sales but it’s riddled with problems & overall, I’d vote no. The biggest problem I’ve had is that it sends offers within a minute of the like. I also think people abuse it. Liking & liking again to get a lower offer… not beneficial overall.

vixen676 @maison_j_styles I played with it briefly a few times... originally, I turned it on for my older + inexpensive listings. I did see a few sales from it. I tried testing it out on my whole closet in the spring (to coincide with my Promoted Closet. Thought if I was committing to PC, let's get fully invested with all Poshmark features)

For one thing, hosting four share groups out of my closet, I thought it would be annoying for all the group members to receive a offer every time they latched onto a share group listing. (If not for the group members, it's somewhat chaotic for me; I receive about 150 likes daily and need to sort through share group likes vs real likes, so adding additional 150 daily notifications about offers sent = 🤪🥴😆

vixen676 @maison_j_styles INTERESTING SIDE NOTE: when I posted a share group listing, and PFFs would like the listing, the offers sent varied. It didn't send the exact amount to everyone 🤔 hmmm

vixen676 @maison_j_styles I didn't like how fast the offers were sent. I'd guess that 20-30% of my sales are full price, so you potentially lose money by sending out offers immediately. Personally, I like more control over my offers. I factor in how recently the item was listed is, how popular the item is, the condition an item is (if there's a small noted blemish, I'll let it go at a deeper discount), if it's a returning customer, if it's part of a bundle, etc.

vixen676 @maison_j_styles This is how I ended up deciding that turning it on for my older items was the sweet spot for me--listings I wanted to get rid of, that were not gaining traction with the algorithm + popularity, and were priced low. Immediately discounting an $18 item vs a $75 item digs deeper into your pocket and adds up over time.

vixen676 @maison_j_styles I feel like the immediate offers help with lesser expensive items. People who are casually scrolling are more likely to make an impulse purchase once a little offer is thrown at them, but someone shopping for a listing with a higher price tag (good jewelry, a nicer purse, a dress to wear to an upcoming event) usually need time to think about their purchase.

cookiemomlynn @maison_j_styles I think it’s definitely helped with sales. I have gone back and put it on some old listings individually but I have over 700 listings so I update them when I can. Don’t want to just blindly do the bulk smart sell.

maison_j_styles @vixen676 I too have always done my offers by hand and I always respond with an offer and usually lower shipping too. Just trying it out on select items to see if I generate more sales. I’d really like to turn more of my likes into sales… it’s been really slow for me on actual sales the last couple of months after all the major changes.

maison_j_styles @ladyjeta If you go into a listing, click edit… look at the pricing area- you can turn on “smart sell” and set the minimum price you will accept. The system will send offers to likers on the items you select. It will vary the offers and may make more than one offer- within the parameters that you set

maison_j_styles @ladyjeta Part 2… . You can opt to set it on for your whole closet… but so far most are not recommending that! Most of us are choosing select items and playing a bit with it- see the comments thread here from several of our fellow PFF’s today.
